COMMERCIAL FLEET VISIBILITY

GPS Vehicle Tracking for Commercial Fleets

GPS fleet tracking gives operators one view of commercial vehicles, trailers and equipment. TAI Capital audits existing devices, connects compatible hardware to the selected platform, supplies new tracking units where needed, and configures live maps, routes, geofences, alerts and reports.

SOLUTION OVERVIEW

GPS Tracking Configured Around Fleet Operations

TAI Capital configures GPS tracking around how the fleet operates, which decisions users need to make and which devices are already installed. The solution combines compatible tracking units, communications, platform configuration, geofences, alerts, reporting, integrations and support.

✓ Position, ignition, speed and compatible sensor data

✓ Geofences that convert coordinates into operational events

✓ Autonomous tracking for trailers and unpowered assets

✓ Connectivity selected for each deployment country

✓ Compatible existing devices retained where practical

✓ Cloud and on-premise deployment options

OPERATIONAL CAPABILITIES

What You Can See and Control

Each data point is configured around an operating decision, alert or workflow—not simply displayed on a map.

01

Live Position and Status

See which vehicles are moving, stopped, offline or outside expected conditions.

02

Trip History and Mileage

Review tracks, trips, stops, travel time and calculated mileage against assignments.

03

Geofencing and Route Deviation

Detect entry, exit, unauthorized movement and departure from approved corridors.

04

Ignition Idling and Engine Hours

Distinguish travel, idling and machinery operation using compatible inputs and CAN data.

05

Driver Identification

Associate trips with an authorized driver using RFID, iButton or another supported method.

06

Trailer Tracking for Business Fleets

Balance location visibility, event reporting and battery life for powered and unpowered assets.

MULTI-VENDOR ARCHITECTURE

One Platform for Multi Vendor Tracking Hardware

TAI Capital audits device models, firmware, protocols, transmitted parameters and connectivity before recommending replacements. Compatible equipment stays in service and connects to the selected platform.

01 · DATA SOURCES

Vehicles and assets

Existing trackers, new devices, OEM data and autonomous units.

02 · TRANSFER

Supported protocols

Wialon IPS, EGTS, Wialon Retranslator and other supported protocols.

03 · OPERATIONAL LAYER

Fleet tracking platform

Live map, trips, geofences, alerts, reports and role-based access.

04 · BUSINESS LAYER

FLEET AND ASSET TYPES

Commercial Vehicle Tracking by Asset Type

Commercial fleet tracking configuration changes with the asset, power source, operating environment and decisions the business needs to make.

ROAD FLEETS

Trucks and Long Haul Fleets

Combine GNSS position with ignition, CAN or J1939 data, identification and sensors.

UNPOWERED ASSETS

Trailers and Unpowered Assets

Choose autonomous reporting around duty cycle, expected battery life and important events.

PASSENGER TRANSPORT

Buses and Passenger Transport

Control route adherence, schedule exceptions, depot activity and compatible onboard data.

OFF-ROAD OPERATIONS

Construction Fleet Tracking

Prioritize engine hours, operating state, site geofences and out-of-hours movement.

MOBILE TEAMS

Light Commercial and Service Vehicles

Record trips, stops, working areas and site visits with limited vehicle downtime.

CARGO ASSETS

Containers and Cargo Assets

Balance autonomy, coverage, protection and scheduled reporting with supported sensors.

FROM EVENT TO ACTION

Where GPS Fleet Tracking Pays Off

The value comes from connecting location events with a defined response—not from collecting more coordinates.

Unauthorized use after working hours

Movement begins outside an approved schedule.

Schedule + depot geofence alert

Give the manager a vehicle, time and location to verify.

Deviation from a fixed delivery route
The vehicle leaves the approved corridor or stops unexpectedly.

Route deviation workflow

Contact the driver, adjust the plan or document the reason.

Arrival and unloading disputes

Teams disagree about site arrival or stop duration.

Consistent site timeline

Use geofence entry, stop and departure records.

Equipment leaves a construction site

Machinery moves beyond a project area out of hours.

Movement + geofence event

Start the client’s security investigation procedure.

Field service activity needs proof

Manual reports do not confirm actual site visits.

Trip and visit history

Combine arrival and dwell data with the work-order system.

MOBILE ACCESS

Fleet Tracking App for Managers and Drivers

Managers and dispatchers can view vehicles, tracks, geofences, sensors, events and reports from supported mobile applications.

Fleet One is TAI Capital’s own mobile app for Wialon Hosting and Wialon Local, with access controlled by the permissions assigned in the Wialon environment. Mobile functions and driver access are configured according to platform capabilities, company policy and local privacy requirements.

PROVEN IMPLEMENTATION

Tracking Projects We Have Delivered

TAI Capital developed a monitoring system for semitrailers used intensively or supplied to lessees. Engineers connected monitoring equipment with the semitrailers’ native CAN bus and protected the equipment inside a waterproof module linked through the ABS connector.

More than 300 equipment sets were installed and commissioned. According to the published case study, timely detection of violations reduced the breakdown rate and improved transparency between the asset owner and lessees.

FAQ

GPS Fleet Tracking FAQ

How much does a fleet GPS tracker cost?

Total cost normally includes the device, installation, connectivity or SIM traffic, platform licensing, configuration and support. Sensors, integrations, special enclosures and retention may add to the scope. Pricing is provided after the fleet and required data are reviewed.

The best fit supports your existing hardware, required vehicle and sensor data, deployment model, reports, integrations and support process. A pilot on representative assets can validate the proposed architecture.

Often, yes. TAI Capital checks the device model, firmware, protocol, transmitted parameters, connectivity, credentials and target platform support. Replacement is proposed only where existing equipment cannot meet project requirements.

Yes. The choice depends on the selected platform, integration requirements, security policy, infrastructure and support model.

Yes. A pilot can run on representative vehicles or assets from the client’s fleet. Scope, duration, equipment, success criteria and commercial terms are defined individually.

TAI Capital provides first-line and second-line technical support covering the agreed platform, devices, communications, integrations, incident escalation and vendor coordination.
