A semitrailer is an independent, technically complex object equipped with numerous sensors and electronic systems.
It requires regular condition monitoring, as safety, wear, and service life are directly affected by this.
When renting or intensively using semitrailers, problems often arise:
- non-compliance with operating regulations;
- exceeding the permissible speed and loads;
- lack of timely maintenance;
- axle overload and increased wear on the chassis.
For the lessor, such situations mean frequent breakdowns, financial losses, and the need to prove the lessee’s fault.
Project Goal
To create a solution that will enable real-time monitoring of the technical condition of semitrailers, track operating parameters, and identify violations of operating regulations.
Implemented Solution
TAI Capital engineers developed a comprehensive solution that integrates monitoring equipment with the semitrailers’ native CAN bus interface.
To protect components, all equipment is housed in a waterproof module connected to the on-board network via an ABS connector.
Implementation Results
- Over 300 sets of monitoring equipment have been installed and commissioned.
- Continuous monitoring of critical semitrailer parameters has been ensured.
- The breakdown rate has been reduced through the timely detection of operational violations.
- Transparency of leased vehicle operations and trust between owner and lessees have been increased.
- Tools for analyzing and resolving disputes have been created.
Results
The TAI Capital semitrailer monitoring system has become a key tool for companies managing large rental fleets.
It ensures continuous monitoring of equipment condition, operational discipline, and transparency of all processes.
