Fault Monitoring Panel

For most companies, simply seeing the location of assets on a map isn’t enough.
Businesses need up-to-date information on the technical condition of their fleet, including vehicle availability, system operation, fuel level, and communication.

Without this information, it’s impossible to quickly respond to disruptions, monitor equipment health, and maintain high efficiency.

Project Goal

To create a user-friendly tool that will allow the client to monitor equipment status in real time and identify malfunctions before they lead to downtime or data loss.

Solution

The company’s engineers developed an interactive dashboard displaying the technical condition of all fleet assets in a single interface.

Example Interface

The dashboard displays key parameters:

  • Coordinates up-to-date;
  • Fuel level in the tank;
  • CAN bus status;
  • Vehicle open/closed;
  • Current asset availability;
  • GSM signal strength;
  • Number of visible satellites;
  • Instantaneous speed;
  • Battery charge level.

All information is visualized using colored indicators and icons located next to objects on the map.

Functionality

  • View all fleet objects simultaneously or filter by errors.
  • Can be customized to meet specific customer needs (e.g., display additional parameters).

Implementation Examples

Example 1: Industrial Enterprise (Logging)

A large manufacturing holding with a diverse fleet of vehicles:
excavators, bulldozers, log trucks, dump trucks, loaders, diesel locomotives, and fuel tanks.

The dashboard allows dispatchers to see the status of equipment in real time and quickly respond to problems such as low fuel levels, lost connection, or CAN bus malfunctions.

Example 2: Passenger Transportation

A company managing a taxi fleet uses the dashboard to monitor the condition of its vehicles on a daily basis. The dispatcher can see whether the vehicle is unlocked, whether it is moving, and how long ago the last data from the navigation device was received.
This made it possible to quickly identify inactive vehicles and maintain service stability.

Implementation Results

  • Improved fleet technical condition monitoring.
  • Downtime was minimized through early fault detection.
  • Dispatcher response times were reduced.
  • Operational transparency and vehicle control were improved.

Results

The created monitoring dashboard has become a key tool for dispatch and technical services. It provides complete visibility into the fleet’s condition in real time, increasing operational efficiency and reducing costs.
